Clinical research at MFT

Our MFT Research and Innovation strives to be at the forefront of R&I in UK healthcare. We are dedicated to driving continuous improvement in the care our patients receive through clinical research. We support over 300 principal investigators undertake research across a diverse range of clinical areas, with more than 800 active studies, involving 15,000 patients, deliver improved diagnostics, treatments and devices for patients in Manchester and beyond.

Main duties of the job

What we're looking for

We're looking for a full time Band 4 Clinical Research Practitioner to coordinate and deliver clinical research studies at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).

If you are committed to providing high quality care to patients and helping them to make the right decisions about their treatment options, with the skills to guide and advise them throughout their research journey, this role could be for you.

You'll be joining an award-winning and diverse team of experts at MFT who are making a difference to the future of care in the NHS by asking questions and finding out the answers.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can contribute to the development of research within the Collaborative Research Team at Wythenshawe hospital. Your primary role will be to lead and deliver on a number of Burns and Plastics and Biobank research studies. Some cross cover support for other Collaborative Research studies may also be required.

Although the role will be primarily based at Wythenshawe hospital occasionally some cross site working may be required. Having a clean driving licence and access to a car would be beneficial but not essential for the role.
