We are TraffordLocal Care Organisation - an exciting, public-sector organisation bringing together NHS community health services and social care services in Trafford. We're driven by the aim of improving the health of local people in Trafford by working across organisational boundaries.
Our community healthcare teams inadults andchildren's servicesare employed by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, linking closely with our colleagues in Manchester Local Care Organisation. Our teams work together to improve the health needs of Trafford residents and Young People who attend Trafford schools.
Main duties of the job
Trafford LCO are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Specialist School Nurse to work alongside the Youth Justice Service, delivering all aspects of the healthy child programme. The role offers variety and the opportunity to work as part of a multiagency team as you will be based with the Youth Justice Service. The postholder will be responsible for delivering high quality health assessments, which will inform all aspects of holistic care planning, safeguarding and youth justice assessments.
The role is based at Sale Waterside and will cover all geographical areas of Trafford.
The post holder will need to be flexible as we see young people in a variety of settings, some of which may be outside normal office hours.
