Job summary
We are seeking a Junior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Haematology Oncology (Locally Employed Doctor) to work within Paediatric Haematology/Oncology at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
The post is available from March 2023 and is a 12 month fixed-term post. The appointee would rotate between the sub-specialties of paediatric haematology, oncology and BMT/ gene therapy.
Main duties of the job
The role will combine working alongside and supporting Consultant Paediatric Haematologists and Consultant Paediatric Oncologists within both the inpatient wards and outpatient services as well as multi-disciplinary team meetings and providing a procedure service, including in the weekly procedure lists (BM and LPs).
Supervised by the Paediatric Haematology consultant, the trainee will become thoroughly competent inthe assessment, diagnosis and management of these patients, including the principles of laboratorydiagnosis.
