Job summary
The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust includes major teaching hospitals. A wide range of equipment is used for medical work - diagnosis, monitoring, therapy and technical work - throughout its wards, theatres, andclinical departments.Medical Engineering and Maintenance Department to deliver high quality medical device maintenance repair and management services within Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be based at our ORC campus at Oxford Road but may be asked to work at other hospital sites when required. The varied and interesting work includes ensuring efficient and timely maintenance and repair of equipment, keeping accurate records, and dealing with clients on a range of medical device management issues. You will be expected to be the face of MEAM when in contact with our clients. You are expected to have knowledge of basic equipment management along with awareness of Health and Safety legislation.
Applicants should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as they will be expected to provide an effective link between the administrative staff, procurements department external suppliers and End users of equipment.
Full support and training of our internal systems and Trust owned equipment is offered ensuring excellent career prospects. We will provide a comprehensive induction programme and you will be appraised on a yearly basis with a view to developing knowledge and skills where appropriate.
