Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to appoint an Advanced Specialist Paediatric Cardiac Physiologist - Echocardiography at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

We are therefore seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced person to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work 37.5 hrs per week.

The department offers non-invasive cardiac diagnostic investigations and is committed to developing staff and actively developing new roles for service provision.

A proactive, professional, positive outlook and the flexibility to embrace change are an essential element of this role. The post holder should be prepared to work in a challenging and changing environment.

This post may be offered under Annex 21, which would require the successful candidate to work towards achieving their Advanced Imaging Qualification in Paediatric ECHO.

The Annex 21 role salary would be dependent on certain criteria being met within given timeframes.

Main duties of the job

Independently practise with a high level of skill and autonomy at Advance Specialist Level in Paediatric Echocardiography.

Undertake any other duties which is deemed appropriate to the band when requested by the Lead Cardiac physiologist.

Participate in cardiac and associated medical research as integral to the role.

Provide effective day to day leadership of the cardiac physiology team within the advanced specialist field and other areas when required.
