Job summary
The University Dental Hospital of Manchester is keen to appoint a substantive Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry (10 session PA) to provide specialist secondary and tertiary paediatric dental services for children referred to the Regional Paediatric Dentistry service, and will be based in The University Dental Hospital of Manchester. The appointee will join an enthusiastic team providing Paediatric Dentistry services to the region.
Main duties of the job
The University Dental Hospital of Manchester is a teaching hospital adjacent to the main University campus. The Dental Hospital provides an outpatient and day case service with approximately 90,000 attendances per annum. The Hospital also has access to theatre lists at MRI, RMCH and TGH. All dental specialties are represented within the Hospital. There are excellent clinical facilities and a comprehensive range of investigative and reporting services are available, including digital radiography.
There are strong links to the University of Manchester and an ethos of clinical excellence and research. We are looking for a forward-thinking Consultant who has a commitment to Paediatric Dentistry and enjoys working within a strong and supportive team.
The successful applicant will provide a full range of specialist consultation and treatment services in Paediatric Dentistry for patients referred to the Dental Hospital. The individual will also be involved in clinical supervision and teaching of specialty trainees, undergraduates and postgraduate students.
