Job summary
As the Head of Programmes for Hive Clinical Applications, you'll lead the teams responsible for the Admin, Outpatients and Specialty workstreams in the Hive EPR team. You'll be a key enabler in supporting work across transformation and supporting MFT's key priorities of improving productivity.This is a wide-ranging, key strategic role that draws on project management skills, collaboration, stakeholder management and clinical knowledge. As you coordinate your own workstreams, you'll collaborate with other workstream leads to make sure we're implementing our software consistently and effectively.You'll also be an ambassador for the Hive project and a key driver of our digital strategy. It's a chance to take on considerable responsibility in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and contribute towards guidance and standards across the Hive team.

Main duties of the job
Be the link between leading-edge medical software and an outstanding NHS Trust.
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT), is the largest acute Trust in the UK, with over 28,000 staff that care for over million patients a year. We've gone live with an unprecedented clinical transformation programme that is revolutionising the way we work. The Hive System (powered by Epic) is now the digital solution for all 10 Hospitals across MFT. Enabling a single patient record across our Trust. Now that we are live the role is about stablising and running the system, overseeing developments upgrades and planning sprints, whilst working with the Trust to optimise the system use for with the Outpatient Services.
Required skills and experienceWe're looking for candidates with clinical or operational experience in the NHS. You'll be a talented communicator and an exceptional project manager who can confidently oversee complex initiatives.
You should also have experience in analysing business and technical requirements or even training in Epic software. Strong leadership skills, IT literacy and a keen sense of strategy are also essential.
You'll also need a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. A relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred, but not essential.
