Job summary
Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics with special interest in lower limb/fractured neck of femur. This is a full time position with 10 programmed activities spread throughout the week with on-call commitment.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be part of a dynamic and innovative trauma and orthopaedic team which is looking to appoint a keen and enthusiastic Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon. The post holder should be able to demonstrate an interest in general trauma surgery and in particular hip fracture surgery and work closely with Orthogeriatric team to support fractured neck of femur surgery at the Wythenshawe site. Additionally, the post holder will support the general Lower Limb Arthroplasty workload in the department. The post holder will mainly work across Wythenshawe and the Trafford General Hospital but will be expected to work flexibly across multiple sites.
