We have great opportunity to offer a Chaplaincy Manager position, as a Lead Chaplain at MFT.
This role is pivotal to supporting service leaders and the Senior Leadership team, and is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of some of the Trust's key objectives and ongoing improvement work, whilst also developing your leadership skills further.

- Analyse the religious and spiritual care needs of patients, relatives and staff and propose effective ways to meet these needs and be an autonomous practitioner providing for those needs.
Main duties of the job
Support the Head of Chaplaincy to manage the provision of Trust wide Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care Service and deputise for the Head of Chaplaincy
- Work as a patient-facing operational Chaplain across the Trust and in Managed clinical Services/Hospitals as required
- Engage fully in multi-disciplinary, inter-denominational and inter-faith activity both within the Trust and in the community
- Enhance the experience of both patients and staff in the delivery of spiritual care
- Exercise competent judgment and prepare operating procedures that reflect the Trust's values and behaviours

- Post Graduate qualification in subject(s) that embrace a theoretical understanding and practical application of pastoral theology. e.g. Applied Theology, Human Sciences.
- Post basic training relevant to healthcare chaplaincy
- Ordained or relevant faith leader in good standing with own faith community Accreditation/licensing with authority to practice as a world religion or belief leader/representative and/or pastoral worker
Desirable
- Master's degree level qualification in theology, pastoral care or other relevant discipline - or working towards
- A certificate in counselling or other relevant specialist training
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Awareness of NHS management structure, organisation, strategy & policy Detailed knowledge of NHS Chaplaincy
