Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Community Premises Team within the Estates and Facilities Directorate at Manchester University Foundation Trust (MFT). The role provides for hybrid working with 1-2 days office based at Trafford General Hospital, home working, and regular site visits across Manchester and Trafford NHS properties. As such, a full driving license is required for the role, with vehicle access arranged if necessary/preferred.
The post-holder will be integral in ensuring the required standards of the Estates and Facilities services are met and that MFT healthcare is delivered in the best possible environment.
The role includes providing support to the Trust Estates and Facilities Team through delivering effective monitoring of contractual specifications alongside National standards. Administration and organisational skills will be required to monitor, document, and accurately report on performance levels of each of the following areas: Maintenance, Domestic Services, Accessibility, Security, Waste management,and Catering.
Main duties of the job
To assist in the development and enhancement of services provided throughout the Community Estate across Manchester.
To regularly monitor and report on estates and facilities elements within the MFT community estate in accordance with contractual agreements and national standards. This will include undertaking environmental audits at sites throughout the Manchester area and cleanliness audits completed to the National Standards of Cleanliness 2021 guidelines. As a result, the successful applicant will require an understanding of monitoring and auditing techniques and Facilities Services provision within a healthcare environment. As well as the ability to produce coherent reports regarding such services regularly.
Liaise with clinical teams, Estates and Facilities colleagues, landlords and third-partyservice providers to ensure standards are met. Assist in the identification, reporting and management of estates and facilities issues for rectification. Contribute to meetings and provide administrative support. Develop and maintain a list of key contacts to support the team and develop professional relationships with colleagues across multiple organisations.
