Paediatric Histopathology Medical Personal Assistant

Job summary

The post holder will primarily be responsible for the typing of letters and other correspondence, arranging meetings, taking minutes, organising diaries and recording key staff data and will provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to one or more Consultants and the Cellular Pathology Management Team including diary management and meeting preparations.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will deal with enquiries via e-mails, telephone, post and fax and flagging items for the attention of the Cellular Pathology Management Team and other allocated Paediatric Histopathology Consultants, drafting responses using own initiative.

The post holder will use Outlook system to schedule meetings and must be to produce, arrange and present information, using a range of IT software, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  • RSA or equivalent in typing
