Job summary
The Post-holder will work independently delivering care/treatment as specified in the treatment plan. Prioritising, assessing and delivering all relevant aspects of Dental Hygiene to an agreed and expected high standard. He/She will work as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the processes that promote patient safety and quality of care in line with Clinical Governance frameworks.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide individual clinical care, behavioural management and preventive advice for patients. The provision of clinical care includes the full range of procedures which a Dental Hygienist undertakes plus extended clinical duties allowed by the General Dental Council since July 2002.
