Our busy Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU) offers a wealth of experience and skills in a variety of specialties.You will be joining a dedicated, hardworking team where you will receive support and encouragement to enhance your professional portfolio.You will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your nursing and clinical skills and have a chance to attend courses.Becoming a part of our team will allow you the chance to gain a variety of transferable skills such as assessing and managing the acutely unwell patient, resuscitation, IV therapies and medicine management.Previous experience in acute medicine would be an advantage; however we also would like to attract newly qualified staff in order to facilitate a good development opportunity.We look forward to receiving your application and hope you are successful in joining us to help make our patients experience a positive one.
Main duties of the job
Prioritise, admit, assess, plan, evaluate & deliver all relevant aspects of care from start of patient journey to high standard, working as member of multi-disciplinary team, contribute to processes, promote patient safety & quality of care. You will be supported clinically by a experienced Sister/Charge Nurse and dedicated Ward Manager & Matron.
Implementation of service developments, Improving Quality Programmes in line with Trust N&M Strategy & divisional objectives is key to incorporating work to improve quality of patient experience. Hard working, enthusiastic & conscientious, well-developed communication & motivational skills, evidence of involvement in change management & improvement. Mature & thorough approach to your work with desire to take service forward through quality initiatives, extending & developing nursing roles and enthusiasm for learning skills & competencies.
