This is a Fixed Term opportunity up to 31st March 2025
The purpose of a Project Manager is to plan, organise, direct, and control the activities of a project to ensure that its objectives are achieved within an agreed timeframe and budget. We are therefore seeking an experienced project manager to work between multiple projects across the Health Innovation Manchester portfolio. Candidates should have demonstrable experience and expertise in project management and hold relevant qualifications including a recognised project management qualification. You will need to be agile and adaptive to manage multiple health and care projects, experienced in Microsoft Project (MSP) software and possess excellent project management skills. Being flexible in your approach and able to develop effective solutions and multi-partner relationships is vital to the success of this role.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be expected to plan, project manage, implement, and disseminate the learning from specific delegated projects they will facilitate service improvement and increase HInM's effectiveness. This will involve supporting a wide range of member organisations to deliver projects developed to bring about improvements in service delivery and health outcomes for the Greater Manchester system. The role will involve responsibility for the management of allocated projects, from securing engagement, "buy in" and commitment to implementing the project with a wide range of key stakeholders and for supporting the research domains across our academic and NHS partnerships.
- Providing regular and appropriate reports to the relevant Committee and/or Board on progress, achievements, milestones and exceptions, ensuring that communications flow back and will produce reports using HInM's agreed project governance structure.
- Undertaking patient/public engagement and involvement, as required and/or outline within the programme/project plan working proactively with the HInM PPIE Director and manager, proactively monitor progress, issues, and risks in projects for which the post holder is lead. Taking corrective and mitigating action where necessary, provide regular feedback and update reports on progress, issues and risk to senior stakeholders.
