Then you should be working for the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network (CRN) Greater Manchester.

You will be at the heart of a high performing CRN hosted by England's largest NHS Trust - Manchester Foundation Trust MFT based in the modern City Labs offices at the Oxford Road Campus. This newly designed role has been created for you to help move us forward together as we evolve into the new Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN)

By providing managerial and administrative support for our non-clinical services you will

  • Support senior management in delivering a high quality service internally and to our key partners
  • Work with the Corporate Project Manager to help develop a modern and dynamic approach to our governance work
  • Oversee the day to day administration of our office activities by collaborating with our wider teams and partners

Your enthusiasm, knowledge and flexibility will be key elements of helping us shape and improve our processes as we move forward. In return the Clinical Research Network will provide the successful candidate with comprehensive induction, orientation and training, and will ensure that you have tailored, individual personal development plans with support for further training.

Main duties of the job

The main purpose of this job is for you to provide day to day secretarial and administrative services to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Senior Management Team but also support the delivery of our contractual obligations under the supervision of the Corporate Project Manager and working with our Finance team.

Using your skills you will:

  • Provide administration support for our COO and overall office management helping the smooth running of our activities .
  • Work with the Corporate Project Manager to help us comply with our national Contract requirements
  • Leading the network with oversight of administration tasks and working collaboratively to embed practice across the CRN
  • Apply and develop your knowledge of good practice in administration to help us comply with relevant legislation such as GDPR.
  • Process related financial elements of the role in conjunction with our Finance team
  • Use Google and Microsoft tools and workspaces to develop our approaches to administration and governance
  • Communicate with and support colleagues at all levels within the network and with local and national partners to deliver our high quality work but also enhance the experience of working with CRN-GM

Please note that this post will be required to work on site as required by senior management with due regard to our hybrid working policy and required outcomes of the role.
