Job summary
MFT is looking to recruit an enthusiastic physician associate for the department of trauma and orthopaedics at Manchester Royal Infirmary. The post is band 6/7 based on experience
Main duties of the job
With appropriate clinical supervision, the post holder will:
- undertake patient consultations, assessments & clinical examinations;
- order appropriate investigations;
- interpret investigation findings;
- recommend a management/treatment plan;
- take responsibility for an appropriate dedicated patient caseload
- help coordinate and deliver the different subspecialty orthopaedic MDTs

- Relevant first BA/BSC degree prior to undertaking PA programme
- Post graduate Diploma in Physician Associate studies from UK training programme or equivalent
- Current certification of Physician Associate National Exam or National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
