Job summary

A vacancy has arisen for a full time band 8a Community Clinical Matron in North Manchester. Are you an experienced nurse leader with a strong commitment to patient safety, delivering a great patient experience and developing your nursing teams?

We are seeking an experienced professional who is highly motivated to drive the service forward. The ideal candidate will be innovative with experience of designing and implementing effective improvement programmes, engaging the multi-professional team in a continuous drive for quality, as well as extensive clinical and leadership experience.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide clinical and professional leadership to Specialist Nursing Teams reporting to the Lead Nurse, the post holder will ensure the key functions of the matron to assure the delivery of safe, high quality community nursing care.

The post holder will undertake a clinical shifts on a weekly basis.

Demonstrate effective leadership, setting, monitoring and maintaining professional standards, working collaboratively, management of complaints and leading the nursing contribution for clinical governance at a locality level in line with the Nursing & Midwifery Strategy.

Work collaboratively with acute colleagues to expedite discharge and prevent admission

Take responsibility for human and financial resources, contributing to key performance outcomes within the directorate.
