Job summary

The post-holder will be a motivated leader and hold a high level of technical knowledge in relation to their field of performance expertise. Acting as a Trust performance expert, providing advice and opportunities for service improvement. To provide expertise at all levels of the organisation, including participation in relevant Trust forums and committees.

Main duties of the job

The role requires collaboration with the Corporate Performance Team and Hospital clinical, management and operational teams to identify risks and opportunities to organisational performance against national standards. The post holder will work in conjunction with MFT hospitals to develop robust recovery plans and improvement trajectories, and support monitoring of delivery against these. T

The postholder will need to work with hospitals and Informatics to ensure the organisation has appropriate performance reporting in place to enable the delivery of standards, ensuring these are in line with best practice. Duties will include contribution to the routine cycle of performance reporting as part of the Board Assurance structure.

The role requires the postholder to be outward facing ensuring identification and adoption of best practice within the organisation. They will need to work collaboratively with peers across Greater Manchester to identify opportunities for improvement and standardisation, and patient pathway development. Duties will require leadership of and contribution to Trust audit processes, in addition the development of policies and standard operating procedures related to area of expertise.

The post holder will need to demonstrate leadership across the organisation in relation to their area of performance expertise, and direct line management to the Performance Team.

  • oMaster's degree or equivalent knowledge, training and experience.
