Job summary

The Trust's Interpretation and Translation Service provides around the clock, face to face, virtual and telephone interpretation including British Sign Language (BSL).

Language barriers have the potential to significantly impact on the quality of health leading to inequalities in health and a poor patient experience. The MFT Interpretation and Translation Service (ITS), is an essential service which facilitates communication between patients and healthcare professionals throughout MFT where very large numbers of service users do not read, write, or speak English to a high enough standard to be able to communicate effectively.

In this role you will provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative support to the Interpretation and Translation Services in a supervisory role.

The post holder will work as part of a team and will be required to prioritise workloads on a daily basis. The post holder will be expected to undertake a role of flexibility and work closely with colleagues, to ensure adequate support to the Interpretation and Translation Services.
