Job summary

We are looking for a Data Administrator to work at the Wythenshawe Hospital site of NIHR Manchester Clinical Research Facility (CRF). The facility supports world class experimental (early phase research) in adults and children.

We work with patients, universities and others to take the best ideas from cutting edge science and use them to create new treatments that benefit the patients.

Main duties of the job

As the Data Administrator you will be responsible for the high quality capture, processing and submission of complex clinical data from clinical records and research documentation, ensuring the data is handled in a timely manner and that Manchester CRF's contractual obligations are met.

In return we will provide a comprehensive induction programme and you will be appraised on a yearly basis with a view to developing knowledge and skills where appropriate.

This includes transfer of clinical data from source documentation to paper or electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs) as required by study protocol. Your role will involve communicating with Manchester CRF and hospital Trust colleagues and external agencies such as pharmaceutical companies and contract research organisations. You will be the primary point of contact for data queries generated by Sponsors monitoring the trials run through Manchester CRF. You will liaise with the nursing staff and principal investigator to ensure that any data anomalies which are found are rectified and the cause determined to prevent recurrence. You will support the Quality Lead in the validation of and training in the use of any information systems packages used by Manchester CRF.

Applications are invited from candidates with some experience in clinical trials, who possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will need advanced IT skills (MS Office - Access, Excel and PowerPoint).
