Job summary
We are appointing to the post of Senior Clinical Fellow (ST3+ level) within the Respiratory Medicine department at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (Wythenshawe site). Patients will receive daily consultant input and junior medical staff will have a daily opportunity to learn from and complete workplace based assessments with the ward based consultant and registrar. This job will be perfect for those looking to enter specialist training in respiratory medicine.
Main duties of the job
This post provides a great opportunity to gain significant experience in one of the largest Tertiary Respiratory Centre of Excellence in the UK. The successful candidates will be working alongside 45 consultants (both clinical & academic) within Respiratory Medicine. You will also work alongside 10 Respiratory Registrars, 7 Clinical & Research Fellows, 5 Respiratory CMTs, 8 Respiratory Junior Clinical Fellows, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner and 1 trainee ANP and 6 Physician Associates. The successful candidates will be supported by multiple teams of allied health professionals including an OPAT team, and Community Respiratory Team.
There will be the opportunity to gain experience in general respiratory medicine, along with the opportunity of getting significant exposure to the respiratory sub-specialties.
Respiratory Medicine are responsible for 4 respiratory wards, the regional cystic fibrosis centre, the North West Ventilation Unit, Pulmonary Oncology Unit, and a Respiratory Day Unit.
