The Trainee Nursing Associate (TNA) training is a minimum of 2 year and 3 month generic Apprenticeship programme, leading to a Foundation Degree as a Nursing Associate.
This is a generic qualification covering all 4 fields of Nursing Practice including Adult, Learning Disability, Children and Young People and Mental Health.
The University costs for the programme are fully funded. It is a training programme that combines both academic and work-based learning in the physical, psychological and public health aspects of care from pre-conception to end of life.
Main duties of the job
Successful external candidates will be employed on a 2 year and 3 month Apprenticeship. During the programme the Trainee Nursing Associate (TNA) will be employed at a Band 3.
The programme will begin in September 2023 . The TNA will rotate into placements within their employing organisation.The academic aspect of the programme will be delivered by either University of Salford or University of Bolton.
TNAs will work 80% of their time on placement and 20% of their time at university
What qualifications do you need to apply for the Nursing Associate Apprenticeship?
The minimum entry requirements are:
GCSEs Grade C or above in Maths and English Language / New GCSE Grade 4-9 in Maths and English Language OR Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English (not entry level 2) areessential.If you have an overseas qualification, you MUST have the NARIC Statement of Comparability to demonstrate the qualifications are equivalent to the UK requirements.
EDUCATIONAL CERTIFICATES WILL NEED TO BE PROVIDED AND VERIFIED BY THE UNIVERSITY APPRENTICESHIP TEAM BEFORE YOU CAN BE INVITED TO INTERVIEW.

- If you are currently on an Apprenticeship Programmethat will not befully completed by September 2023, you will not be eligible to apply for this role
If you have previously been (or are) aRegistered Nurse or Midwife then you will not be eligible to apply for this role
