Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic midwife to lead the Antenatal Clinic at Trafford General Hospital. This person will require good communication skills to support and harmonise the various teams working within the department ensuring an excellent standard of care for pregnant women. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead the development of antenatal services offered at Trafford General Hospital.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will be responsible for the management of the Antenatal Outpatient Services. She/he will be expected to lead the assessment, planning and delivery of direct patient care.
  • The post holder will facilitate the professional and clinical development of members of her/his team, ensuring delivery of high caliber care, and efficient use of facilities, manpower and other resources.
  • The post holder will be the lead professional for the development and continuing development of the Antenatal Out Patient Services.
  • The post holder will work with antenatal clinic managers across the MCS to ensure a harmonised service and promote joint working. The post holder will also participate in the unit bleep rota
