Job summary

Responsible for overseeing and implementing a robust approach to benefits and evaluation for large scale change management programmes within the organisation, in order to ensure that optimum benefits are delivered in line with the programme's objectives.

The primary focus will be to work on this realisation, potential and increase adoption, understanding the changes impacting staff and patients across GM to enable improved outcomes.

The post-holder will provide analytical support to their programme(s) of work, modelling and evaluating the impact and any transformation projects, on healthcare and social care services and patients. Using a range of analytical techniques, research methods and a sound knowledge of the healthcare business, including health economics and cost-benefit analysis.

Main duties of the job

  • The role will be responsible for overseeing and implementing a robust approach to benefits and evaluation for large scale change management programmes surrounding the Greater Manchester Care Record (GMCR), in order to ensure that optimum benefits are delivered in line with the programme's objectives.
  • The primary focus will be to work to realise the potential and increase adoption of the GMCR and understanding the changes impacting staff and patients across GM to enable improved outcomes to be achieved.
  • The post-holder will provide analytical support to the GMCR programme, modelling and evaluating the impact of the GMCR - and any transformation projects - on healthcare and social care services and patients, using a range of analytical techniques, research methods and a sound knowledge of the healthcare business, including health economics and cost-benefit analysis.
  • To provide expertise in defining, capturing, implementing and measuring planned and actual quantitative and qualitative benefits (clinical / non clinical) using best practice business models and ways of working and linking to the wider GMCR Programme and National Shared Care Record Programme initiatives.
  • Contribute to decision making processes through the provision of benefits information, providing recommendations that inform strategic decisions

Able to assess robustness of data and ensure data for projects and programmes is sufficient and will pass scrutiny. Able to present data in a variety of formats, including bar charts.

Able to take personal responsibility for operational objectives and learn and develop from success and failure.

Works on own initiative, work is managed rather than supervision, within clearly defined policies/procedures. Complies with the Trust Information Governance requirements.

Provide day-to-day analytical support to all members of the delivery team to ensure priorities are met and delivered to a consistent professional standard.
