Are you interested in training to become a Registered Dental Nurse with the General Dental Council ?

We have opportunities for you to join us in this exciting time, based in central Manchester.You will undertake an 18 month training programme which will provide you with the knowledge and skills to provide close support for the Dentist by maintaining high standards of infection control. Confident, competent, self-motivated and enthusiastic are all attributes required for these positions as well as the ability to work as part of the dental team. You need to be interested in ensuring quality Dental services and must be able to communicate effectively with patients, clinicians and other healthcare professionals and demonstrate very high standards. In return, we will provide you with a full induction and support you with a personal development plan and ongoing training when required. You will also benefit from being an employee for a large Trust and so be made aware of up and coming projects and opportunities that there may be.

Main duties of the job

Advanced Apprenticeship in Health - Dental Nursing

The Manchester School for Dental Care Professionals are currently recruiting for Trainee Dental Nurses to join their Advanced Apprenticeship in Dental Nursing programme.

The successful Apprentice Dental Nurses will undertake and fulfil the educational training and clinical requirements in Dental Nursing Advanced Apprenticeship in Health - Dental Nursing qualification. The Apprentices will support and assist the team in a variety of clinical settings and ensure the patient receives excellent care.

The successful applicants will be highly motivated individuals who demonstrate effective communication skills and a caring nature.

The 18 month fixed term contract is full time, Monday to Friday from 8.45am - 5.06pm. Four days of the working week are based in the various clinical settings and one day of the working week is based in the educational environment at the school, here you will undertake your theoretical studies to achieve the apprenticeship qualification.

If you have three GCSE's grade 4 -9 (or equivalent), must be two of the three listed, Maths, English and/or a Science (Health & Social Care will be accepted), can demonstrate initiative and are committed to commencing your career in dental nursing at the Manchester Dental Hospital, we would like to hear from you.
