Job summary
WTWA division of Surgery is looking for an innovative and enthusiastic professional to work in the capacity of Education and Development Practitioner within the Operating Theatres.
This role is aimed to develop, support and implement education, training and developing strategies across operating theatres.
The successful candidate will have proven track record in delivery of teaching, assessing, evaluating and adapting a wide range of programmes including ability to engage and adapt associated learning and development methodologies as required.Professional development and support in this role will be seen as a priority, with a bespoke programme designed to meet the needs of the successful candidate.
Main duties of the job
Main duties will include cross site cover and support for WTWA Theatres at Wythenshawe, Trafford and Withington hospitals.
Developing, supporting and implementing education, training and developing strategies across WTWA surgery -operating theatres.
Provide leadership to ensure the achievement and maintenance of professional standards of education for both pre-registration and post-registration education.
The EDP will provide guidance and advice, with the Senior Nurse Team in relation to future nursing educational requirements and will ensure effective plans are in plans to ensure a competent and confident nursing workforce to meet service needs, aligned to the Trust Nursing and Midwifery Strategy and values.
