Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Saint Mary's Hospital Manchester Oxford Road site as a part-time Band 6 Midwife to care for birthing people booked for a multiple pregnancy. This post offers you the opportunity to support us to continually innovate within our multiple pregnancy service in collaboration with our women and key stakeholders.

You will work within a supportive MDT team who operate in collaboration to deliver personalised care to all our women expecting multiples. You will be the consistent contact for women and you will support them through their pregnancy pathway.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have a key leadership role within the Antenatal Clinic and will provide specialist skills and knowledge to care for Birthing people with Multiple pregnancies and support the division's quality and safety agenda. The post holder will support the Matron forAntenatal Services to enhance and develop high standards of care. Thepost holder will be an advocate for women and their families in accordance with the philosophy and standards ofcare within Saint Mary's Managed Clinical Service ensuring that Trust values and beliefs are upheld.Maternity services at Saint Mary's provide women living in Central Manchester, Wythenshawe, Trafford, Salfordthe North West and beyond with primary, secondary and tertiary obstetric services. Saint Mary's is renownedboth regionally and nationally for its research, clinical fetal and maternal medicine services.The maternity unit is co-located with level three regional new-born intensive care service. There is an establishedmidwifery team delivering care to women & their families who require specialist fetal medicine input during theirpregnancy journey.In this key role you will work closely with the Ward manager and Matron for Antenatal Services, the Maternity Governance Team, theDeputy Heads of Midwifery and the Head of Midwifery.
