Are you looking for a new, exciting challenge? Would you like the opportunity to support the delivery of the Long Term Plan Treating Tobacco Dependence agenda? This is an excellent opportunity for a project manager to join Manchester Foundation Trust as part of NHS Greater Manchester (GM) Integrated Care Treating Tobacco Dependence Team.
We are expanding our team and are looking to recruit a project manager to join the Treating Tobacco Dependency team. The role will be offering clinical support and advice within Trusts across GM to support delivery of NHS England Long Term Plan programmes, to ensure all elements of the programme are delivered with care, are effective and sustainable in all local services.
We encourage applicants who are driven andteam players with excellent stakeholder management and written & verbal skills, with the ability to use their own initiative in a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment. Applicants should be an excellent communicator, confident in delivering transformational change across whole system pathways, understand the Long Term Plan Tobacco deliverables, and hold relevant skills in project management. We will be keen to develop and support our successful candidates.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will:
- Facilitate effective working relationships with local service providers and system wide stakeholders and support strategic decision making, implementation, communication, risks and issues and assurance
- Develop robust and sustainable working relationships with multiple stakeholders across the Region and ICSs including clinicians, commissioners, health and social care providers, public health, patient and carer representation, and other managerial leads
- Work to deliver an effective service supporting managers and staff across NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care to improve delivery of the Long Term Plan, using new national policy and NHS England investment.
- Work closely with stakeholders across primary care and secondary care and with stakeholders from multiple specialist areas including general practice, respiratory, mental health, physiotherapy, occupational health, maternity services and primary care services
- Coordinate and deliver policy-specific projects, supported by the Programme team and wider make Smoking History Team within the GM Population Health team and with the GM Provider Collaborative
- Work across the GM system in delivering the CURE, Smokfree pregnancy programmes with some more intensive work within menta health services in the coming year
