An opportunity has arisen to join the Business Support Team at Hampshire and Isle Of Wight Healthcare, primarily focusing on care for Looked After Children who ensure that the health and well-being needs of children and young people in care are met

We are looking to recruit a capable, helpful and enthusiastic administrator who will be a key player in providing support to the medical staff within the team, as well as outside agencies and other team administrators. In this varied role you will provide comprehensive administrative support for the Community Paediatric Medical Service, which includes Child Protection, Adoption and Looked After Children.

You will be aware of the vulnerable client group that the LAC Team support and must be able to always act with discretion and confidentiality. We have vacancies in both Southampton and Portsmouth. The role in Portsmouth is for maternity cover on a 12 month fixed term basis for 18.75 hours a week. The role in Southampton is 37.5 hours a week.

The CAMHS-LD team deliver evidence-based interventions to young people and their families with moderate to severe learning disabilities that also include mental health conditions. The team deliver interventions to young people as well as their family members and work alongside partner agencies including Social Care and Education. This is based at Adelaide Southampton and is a 30 hours a week position.

Main duties of the job

  • Use & accurately populate the electronic record system (SystmOne) with information to include referrals, scanning & uploading information from other services in a timely manner etc., taking responsibility for the quality of the data & taking note of the Health Records Standards & Procedures & Record Keeping Policy
  • Follow agreed processes for dealing with emails on Outlook on a regular basis prioritising urgency & importance, signposting/dealing with queries (often sensitive) regarding issues arising
  • Attend & participate in team/other meetings, ensuring any actions are completed by the required date & take minutes if requested
  • Provide cover & support during times of absence for the core functioning of the admin team
  • Maintain current office policies & procedures, be actively involved in their development
  • Ensure that waiting lists and spreadsheets are updated frequently to ensure good housekeeping
