We are delighted to announce that we have an exciting opportunity available. Shakespeare Road Medical Practice are looking for a Salaried GP to join our team. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for providing sustainable, population-based health and social care, while ensuring our patients are seen in a timely manner by the most appropriate clinician within the Extended Primary Care Team. We pride ourselves on patient, staff and community engagement.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is commissioned to deliver the Shakespeare Road Service under an Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) contract. This comes with the opportunity to expand your knowledge and develop your skills within multidisciplinary teams in different specialties.

Shakespeare Road Medical Practice provides:

*GP led, working with a highly skilled team of ECPs, Nurses, Pharmacists, CPNs, Care co-ordinators, Social Prescribers and supported by a motivated and efficient admin team

*A Strong MDT approach to routine care

*15 minute appointments offering flexibility of telephone, video, on-line or face-to --face consultations

*Forward thinking and innovative PCN

Main duties of the job

A key member of the team working in General Practice, the GP will manage a caseload, dealing with a wide range of presenting health care needs in a primary care setting. The post-holder will work with clinical colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care are provided for all registered and temporary patients. The post-holder will also contribute to planning and decision-making as part of the wider practice team.

All post-holders will be expected to support the development and delivery of Integrated Care Teams

  • *Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
  • *Evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
  • *General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) trained
  • *On/eligible to be on a medical performers list

  • *UK driving licence
  • *Current CPR certificate
  • *UK work permit (if required)
