Job summary
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and flexible Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (SN) who enjoys the challenge of working with children and young people
You will work from a variety of settings including schools, partner agencies and homes working flexibly and creatively to best engage and meet the diverse health needs of the 0-19 population, as part of the Fareham & Gosport School Nursing Team based at Alpha Court, Fareham.
You will lead the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme (DH 2009) within the locality and provide professional leadership to a skill mix team to enable the efficient and effective delivery of the commissioned service.
Main duties of the job
The primary role of the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) is to lead delivery of the commissioned elements of the Healthy Child Programme (DH 2009) including the 0-19 (Health Visiting and School Nursing) High Impact Areas.
The role includes providing clinical leadership and management support to Community Staff Nurses, Community Nursery Nurses, School Nurse Assistants and Administrative Support staff to support the delivery of a quality 0-19 public health service
