Antelope House is looking for compassionate, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as a Health Care Support Worker and support the team to provide holistic and person centred care to our service users. Antelope House has 4 wards serving the Southampton area. We are committed to the ongoing development of our care to provide an excellent and collaborative service through promoting participation in activity, recovery and providing feedback of the service user experience to our team.

Our Health Care Support Workers need to have the initiative and autonomy to complete the daily tasks and interventions that provide the holistic care for our patients, within the scope of their role.

Main duties of the job

Healthcare Support Workers help registered nurses deliver healthcare services to service users. As a support worker, you carry out a range of clinical and non-clinical healthcare tasks, under the direct or indirect supervision of the registered nurse. You provide high quality, compassionate healthcare, following standards, policies or protocols and always acting within the limits of your competence.

You will be caring and compassionate, honest, conscientious and committed.

You will treat people with dignity, respecting individual's diversity, beliefs, culture, needs, values, privacy and preferences, show respect and empathy for those you work with, have the courage to challenge areas of concern and work to best practice, be adaptable, reliable and consistent, show discretion, show resilience and self-awareness and show supervisory leadership
