Welcome to Medina Healthcare on the Isle of Wight. We are recruiting for a Patient Advisor to join our friendly and professional team.
The successful candidate will have a desire to provide a high standard of customer service, be able to adapt to a fast paced environment and be flexible in their working hours.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who is computer literate, well organised and capable of paying attention to detail.
Main duties of the job
The following are the core responsibilities of the Patient Advisor. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks, this will be dependant upon such factors such as workload and staffing levels.
- Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
- Process person, telephone and e request appointments
- Answering incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately
- Signpost patients to the correct service
- Taking requests from patients, team members and external agencies
- Photocopy documentation as required
- Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
- Input data into patients healthcare records as necessary
- Direct request for information, i.e. SAR, insurance, solicitor letters and DVLA forma to the administrative team
- Carryout system searches as required
- Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
- Monitor and maintain the reception area and noticeboards
- Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
- To undertake any other duties as deemed appropriate by the practice
