Team Manager Mental Health Liaison Service

Job summary
This role is for a suitably qualified senior clinical leader who can help lead and manage our divisional mental health liaison service located across two accident and emergency departments within our acute hospitals. The post holder will need to have excellent organisational and relationship building skills. They will be expected to work collaboratively with other senior leaders within the division, Trust, Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and the wider local healthcare system partners.
Main duties of the job
The main duties and tasks for this role include:- providing direct line management to identified staff to ensure the development of effective, responsive, evidence-based and user focused services.- undertaking appraisals and agreeing personal development plans for direct reports.- ensuring that there is a robust system in place that supports staff to reflect on clinical practice and through line management support review clinical practice ensuring staff are clear in relation to clinical pathways.- holding overall management responsibility for effective and robust systems across the teams.- being responsible for policy and procedures in relation to all areas covered by the teams.- identifying and addressing poor performance or conduct and taking remedial action in line with organisational policy.- ensuring that the service learns from events and uses feedback including from service users and their loved ones as well key performance indicators and national standards to support quality improvement.
