Job summary

1 x One year fixed-term vacancy in Fareham - 22.5 hours per week, term time only.

1 x permanent vacancy in West End, Southampton - 30 hours per week, all year round

2 x permanent vacancies in Basingstoke - 22.5 hours per week and 30 hours per week, term time only.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated staff to join Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust School Age Immunisation Service.

You will participate in the organisation and delivery of the childhood immunisation programme across Hampshire, under the supervision of the immunisation lead.

Your role will include working in partnership with the school nursing service, Education including Elective Home Educated service. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Healthcare is committed to improving the quality of child health services across Hampshire.

You will demonstrate clinical expertise and governance in all aspects of the service including safeguarding children whilst being supported by robust organisational supervision, guidelines, and policies.

You must be either RN qualified and have current NMC registration or have relevant professional registration.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Happy to talk flexible working around the number of days a week that you work but due to the nature of the role the hours each day will need to be as stated.

Main duties of the job

As part of the school age immunisation team, you will be offering immunisations to children and young people in school or community settings.

You will demonstrate an understanding of the National Childhood Immunisation Programme, and evidence of working with children and young people.

You must be able to work as part of a team and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service users.

Good IT skills are required for the role.

Due to the nature of the role it is expected that you will have access to a car, a full driving licence and insurance for business use.
