If so, we would like to hear from you as we are recruiting for a Band 6 Senior Community Nurse to join our team.

You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care in their homes and whilst temporarily residing in Community Rehabilitation Beds. You will be supported to work with the senior nurses across the localities who will ensure that you are given all possible opportunities for learning and development.

We are looking for someone who can show us that they are a team player and are committed to the profession. Today's Senior Community Nurse role is complex and involves clinical practice as well as leadership, management, operational and educational responsibilities.

Please note that all staff are required to work across localities and travel to the mainland as necessary.

Main duties of the job

To work as a member of the Integrated Community Nursing Team providing nursing care for patients in the community.

The Senior Community Nurse has the following key elements in their role:

A professional role promoting a positive image of community nursing

Provision of nursing care for community patients as well as patients temporarily residing in Community Rehabilitation Beds.

An educational role for patients, carers, Support Staff and new team members

To work in any locality and travel to the mainland as required

  • Registered nurse with current NMC registration
  • Recent experience in community nursing
  • Willingness to undertake study at Level 6 or 7
  • Clinically up-to date
  • Knowledge of the principles of manual handling and blood borne disease
