Main duties of the job
The post holder will join our dynamic Safeguarding Support Team to support the Named Nurse to deliver the Safeguarding agenda, as well as providing specialist advice and support to clinical teams in the Isle of Wight and across the Trust, with the opportunity to take on lead roles supported by the Named Nurse. You will be leading the safeguarding agenda in your area, developing, and delivering training and providing responsive supervision with complex cases both face to face and by telephone. You will also provide line management responsibilities, supervision, and support to the Safeguarding Practitioners. There will be an expectation to contribute when required to the health component of the Isle of Wight (IOW) Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) & High-Risk Domestic Abuse (HRDA) to cover sickness, annual leave and training when required.

- *Registered General Nurse (Child, Adult, Learning Disability, Mental Health).
- *Health Visitor, Midwifery, Allied Health Professional or Social Worker with a current professional registration.
- *Degree
- *Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- *Experience of working within safeguarding.
Desirable
- *Teaching and assessment qualification.
- *Additional safeguarding specific training.
- *Post Graduate diploma or working towards.
- *Specialist training to master's equivalent level.
