Job summary

Would you like to be an integral part of an established service supporting the recovery of young people with severe and enduring mental health problems? If so, then the Admin Manager role in one of our two secure units may be the job for you.

We are seeking an experienced manager with contemporary administrative skills and an ability to develop and lead a team.

Applicants must have:

- experience of working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage and prioritise a wide variety of competing demands, organising own workload and delegating to others

- experience of personnel processes and budget management

- knowledge of contemporary administrative tools and processes, and the confidence to apply them within an existing service

- excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of key stakeholders, ensuring high standard of customer service and satisfaction

- a style of leadership which supports all team members to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people and their carers.

Main duties of the job

Based at Tatchbury Mount on the edge of the New Forest near Totton, the Admin Manager will be responsible for supporting the clinical and business support teams to deliver all non-clinical aspects of the inpatient service.

The post is well supported by the hospital and CAMHS leadership team, and divisional business support team. Training on any IT systems and induction to the hospital's local systems and processes will be provided.

The secure units also benefit from being part of a portfolio of 3 CAMHS hospitals with a robust culture of collaboration, learning from events, and sharing innovation and best practice.

  • Conversant with current windows operating systems
  • Have experience in working with Word and Excel, be a proficient audio-typist to RSA stage II or equivalent
  • Competent computer skills and office working experience as well as ability to manage staff
  • Understand, interpret and implement policies and procedures

Desirable

  • Be proficient in word processing and audio-typing to stage III or equivalent.
  • To have a good standard of general education.
  • Studied secretarial course
