The service supports people in their career journey offering development and training opportunities to enhance clinical practice. The service leadership team is supportive and encourages clinicians to prioritise their wellbeing in order to help maintain good work-life balance.

If you:

- enjoy being a part of a team

- are keen to expand and further develop your leadership skills

We would be really delighted to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

The team is made up of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) of innovative and dynamic clinicians who have worked hard to find new ways of providing clinical care to the young people they work with. You will work within a team with a passion for delivering high quality clinical assessment and interventions. Hampshire CAMHS has established care pathways which you will work across, including both supporting neurodevelopmental assessments and therapeutic work.

You will use your specialist knowledge and skills to undertake initial assessments, as well as other high-quality assessments and you will develop care plans alongside children, young people and their families. You will work with young people presenting with higher levels of risks and will be able to assess and manage their risk in collaboration with them and their families. You will manage duty, deliver one to one and groupwork interventions and support neurodevelopmental assessments, as well as mentoring students and supervising junior staff, and contributing to the overall development of the team and service.

You will support young people across a broad range of pathways and will liaise closely with clinicians from other teams including Single Point of Access, Early Help, Urgent Assessment and Home Treatment (i2i) and Eating Disorders.

About us

Southern Health is one of the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the UK, specialising in mental health and learning disabilities, as well as offering physical health community-based services.

With a workforce of more than 7000 and a footprint that spans more than 200 sites across Hampshire, we're committed to providing the best possible healthcare, reaching a range of diverse communities, whilst placing patients and staff at the forefront of all our endeavours.

We are currently working closely with other NHS Trusts to combine all our collective community, mental health, and learning disability services, with the plan to create a new larger, more integrated and accessible organisation.

The transformation will happen in stages; Hampshire CAMHS, part of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust joined Southern Health in February 2024, with Isle of Wight NHS Trust mental health and community services transitioning across in May 2024. The final combination of Southern Health and Solent NHS Trust services is expected in late 2024, when our new organisation, to be known as Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, will be formed.

Our new Trust will continue to cater to the unique needs of different communities, making healthcare across the county more accessible, as well as offering staff more opportunities for career development, training and partnership working.

Join us as we embark on this exciting journey to shape the future of healthcare in Hampshire.
