An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Manager to come and be part of our brand new adolescent Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit.

We are looking for passionate, dedicated and highly motivated individuals to be part of our person focused team at Tatchbury Mount.
You will act as a positive role model who delivers the philosophy of the unit and the values of the Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested and committed to delivering excellent care within a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment.
Main duties of the job
As the Ward Manager you will have continuing oversight of the assessment of young people's needs and ensure care plans are developed, implemented and evaluated with the young person.
You will have continuing overall responsibility for the management of nursing services within the Unit and develop a positive supportive culture and working environment that enable staff to thrive.
You will carry continuing responsibility for the management of the total resource within your area.
You will maintain high standards of patient care and maintain a supportive leadership profile for the Charge Nurses, Mental Health Nurse Practitioners and Health Care Support Workers.
You will work collaboratively with medical staff and other health professionals supporting the delivery of patient care. Ensuring the well-being of service users, staff and visitors is paramount to the unit ethos. You will also support the strategic objectives of the Trust through maintaining adherence of staff and of self to all Trust Policies, and external Audit requirements.
