Job summary

It is an opportunity to join the Physiotherapy team as a Physiotherapy Technician. You will be supported by qualified clinicians to provide interventions for patients in clinics and in patient's own homes within the Fareham and Gosport locality.

Your role is to implement a treatment plan with individuals or in group settings provided by the Therapists. You will also work towards goals set by the patient with the Physiotherapist. The work delegated to you will always be within your competency levels, you will receive both formal and informal training. There is peer support available with other Therapy Technicians.

The post holder will proactively and positively contribute to the successful overall performance of the Trust. We are looking for people who will deliver excellent levels of customer service to all patients/visitors and staff at the Trust.

The post holder needs to develop an organisational culture that fosters collaborative working among all staff groups, to ensure a focused commitment to delivering quality services and outcomes

The post holder will act as an advocate for the Trust & its contribution to the Health Service arena through creating effective partnerships and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

Support the Physiotherapists to provide rehabilitation in the community and clinic settings.

You will be expected to manage your own case load under the supervision of a registered Physiotherapist.

Knowledge of the underpinning philosophy of rehabilitation.

An awareness of personal and professional limitations.

Commitment to personal development.

Knowledge of health and social care issues.
