Job summary
Are you an enthusiastic administrator with excellent organisational and communication skills? Do you have a keen interest to support a clinical team in their work with children and young people, and the ability to work using your own initiative, as well as part of a team? If yes - this is the role for you.
Hampshire CAMHS Blended Digital Team is a unique and established team, supporting the mental health and neurodevelopmental assessment needs of children across the Hampshire area. We work with young people with complex needs and have an administration team built on the foundations of compassion, care, empathy.You will provide responsive administrative support and be integral to the provision of care for our young people. Flexibility, an enthusiastic, empathic approach, and a desire to make a difference are all vital for this role, as is the ability to consistently deliver a young person focused service.
The role will be based at Omega House in Eastleigh and forms part of a countywide team who have a blended approach to working face to face and digital working from home.
We are able to provide a degree of flexibility with working patterns, in line with the needs of the individual and our service. At SHFT, staff have the capacity to work from home remotely where applicable and in agreement with your line manager.
Main duties of the job
Your role will be varied and you will regularly contribute to and be involved with:
- booking appointments
- responding to telephone and email contact from young people, families and professionals
- the formatting of appointment letters, discharge summaries and neurodevelopmental reports
- minute taking of both clinical and administrative meetings
- ensuring patient administration is carried out in line with Trust policy and standard operating procedures
- working closely with our clinicians
- supporting compliance by working with clinicians to manage administrative elements of clinical risk, care planning and appointment management
- a range of other processes including inter-team patient transfers, prescriptions and appointment outcoming
