Job summary

This post is open to suitably experienced and qualified staff working within Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, Solent NHS Trust and IOW NHS Trust only.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptionally experienced, dynamic and forward-thinking senior leader to become the Director for the Acute and Crisis Mental Health pathway in the Trust on a substantive basis.

The Acute and Crisis Mental Health pathway includes the following services across the Trust; acute admission wards, the rehabilitation wards and the Crisis Home Treatment Teams. The teams are geographically located as follows; Mid & North Hampshire (Parklands Hospital), South East Hampshire (Elmleigh Hospital), South West Hampshire (Melbury Lodge) and Southampton (Antelope House), the role provides Trust wide leadership and management for these services over a large and diverse geography.

Main duties of the job

If you are a clinical leader with a collaborative and partnership style of working and wish to help us to create the very best clinical care we would like to hear from you. The post holder will be required to have a 'can do', proactive approach, to lead from the front, using their clinical knowledge and skills acquired in mental health care settings. They will inspire, motivate and support best practice whilst fostering exceptional working relationships with system partners, colleagues/peers across the Divisional structures.

Our aim is to work alongside the people we support (and our health and care partners) to deliver the best possible care and constantly improve. Having also gained University status, we have an active research department and are a teaching trust, delivering training to students/trainees from a range of clinical backgrounds.
