Would you like to train as a High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist?
There is an exciting opportunity to train with the University of Southampton, and to join NHS Talking Therapies (for anxiety and depression) Hampshire (previously known as italk) - a highly regarded IAPT service within Hampshire. NHS Talking Therapies Hampshire is a large, innovative and transformational IAPT service. We are currently expanding the modalities of therapy we offer to our patient population, which has led to opportunities for therapists to broaden their therapeutic knowledge and skills into modalities other than CBT if they wish post-qualification.
Are you eligible to apply?
The course you will be completing at the University of Southampton as part of this role is a Level 2 accredited course with BABCP. This means that upon completion trainees will meet criteria to apply for provisional accreditation as a CBT therapist with the BABCP.
To be appointable to this post, you must meet the criteria for CBT training and also have a BABCP-recognised professional background in mental health or related areas.
Permanent job roles will be offered on condition of passing the HI training course. There will be opportunities to progress to a Band 7 Therapist position within the service.
Interviews are due to take place in late May. As part of the interview, you will be expected to complete a CBT assessment role play.
