Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, motivated, and progressive clinical services manager to lead and operationally manage the MSK Service in Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant will professionally lead the MSK team to facilitate the delivery of high quality, patient centred care, across 12 sites in Hampshire. In the short term, they will provide key leadership support within the integration of organisations and services as part of project fusion. In the longer term they will be required to be innovative and transformative in their thinking regarding how community MSK services can evolve to best serve the local community. They will be required to work closely with internal corporate services and with key external stakeholders including, the ICB, Primary, Secondary and Community services. This includes access to external funding to attend CPD courses and programmes. The successful applicant will ideally be a clinician by background and although not essential, it would be beneficial that they have experience of working within the MSK field.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will professionally lead and operationally manage the MSK service within Southern Health to enable the delivery of a high quality, affordable service to patients and their families/carers. They will work as part of the wider South West Division of Southern Health, in collaboration with other senior managers, to support the division to deliver its operational plan and strategic objectives. This candidate requires strong leadership credentials to manage a diverse team of clinicians, across a large patch, to enable the successful delivery of the service. Alongside the MSK Consultant, they will be required to place the service at the heart of the organisation's governance agenda, leading a proactive approach to quality assurance. They will be required to work in collaboration and build strong relationships with internal corporate services, in particular, finance, HR, business support and contracting. Alongside this, they will have a key focus at building and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders and will provide important leadership within the integration of MSK services as part of project fusion.
