Job summary
Do you want to work in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)? Do you have PA/secretarial/administrative experience and want to use your skills to help support one of our Consultant Psychiatrists who is also our Clinical Lead as well as our Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) in caring for vulnerable young people? Then we would love to hear from you!
Austen House opened in October 2019 and is a low secure CAMHS unit. This 14 bed unit helps to meet the national shortage of beds for young people with specialist mental health needs and means that young people and their families living in the south of the country can access treatment closer to home, preventing them having to travel long distances to receive the care they need.
Due to a recent restructure within the CAMHS Admin. Teams at Tatchbury Mount, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small friendly admin. team at Austen House as a PA/Medical Secretary to a Consultant Psychiatrist/Clinical Lead.
We are looking for someone that can demonstrate a good level of PA and secretarial experience including minute taking. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and orally and have a methodical and flexible approach. You will need to be able to prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines, while maintaining a professional approach. Applicants should be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications eg Outlook, Word, Excel etc.
Main duties of the job
Provision of a comprehensive PA, medical secretarial and administrative service to the Consultant Psychiatrist/Clinical Lead for the unit and other members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) as required.
To support the Consultant Psychiatrist/Clinical Lead for the unit in all aspects of business management activity relating to functions and responsibilities, including the development and management of a comprehensive and efficient PA support service.
