Job summary
Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit 1 additional Administration Officer to join the NHS Talking Therapies Hampshire Step 3 Service. This post is full-time (37.5 hours per week) on a fixed-term contract of 12-months.
The team is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated administrator to ensure that the administration of the NHSTTH service is carried out efficiently and professionally. The role will be varied but will include the booking of patient appointments and supporting Step 3 therapists.
The post will be based at Black Horse House in Eastleigh, and the successful candidate will be required to work with other members of the NHSTTH administration and management team as well as external partners, such as Solent Mind.
The successful applicant will be expected to have a positive approach to customer care, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work in a very demanding and busy environment. The successful applicant will also have excellent IT skills and a willingness to learn.

Main duties of the job
To contribute to the day-to-day administrative processes of the NHSTTH Step 3 Service. This will include becoming an expert user of IAPTus to provide support for Step 3 and updating the system with appropriate information. Also maintaining an effective and efficient administrative system for the screening, appropriate allocation, and management of appointments: ensuring the flexibility of appointment schedules is promoted to meet the needs of the patients.
To liaise with patients, families, General Practitioners and other agencies and professionals, as appropriate, as part of the function for the Step 3 Service.
To answer the telephone in a professional manner dealing with any queries raised and liaising with Therapists, as required.
To ensure all emails are answered promptly and effectively as well as delivering messages accurately to the clinical team using professional judgement as required.
To assist with the admin for patient groups, eg sending out patient resources, links for online group sessions as required.
Support to Admin Lead and Wider Team
To provide the provision of administrative support to the Admin Lead, and other members of staff as required.
To communicate effectively with all Therapists and the wider team to provide administrative support to these colleagues.
