NHS Talking Therapies Hampshire (NHSTTH) is an exciting, transformative service, delivered in partnership between Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and Solent Mind charity. We strive to deliver a high quality, evidence-based, person-centred psychological therapies to the population of Hampshire. As part of our service delivery a key area of focus is our Long Term Health Conditions (LTC) pathway. We aim to deliver integrated care across physical and mental health care, which puts the client at the centre.

Main duties of the job

To support the growth of specialist Long Term Conditions (LTC/s) Clinical Psychology provision within NHS Talking Therapies Hampshire (NHSTTH), including the integration between primary care psychological therapy and key health providers across primary, secondary, acute, inpatient/outpatient, and community-based services.

To provide a quality, evidence-based psychology service to clients and their families within NHSTTH.

To liaise and integrate with the wider health, social care and VCSE network, contributing to the psychological wellbeing of staff, and promoting psychological awareness and thinking allowing timely, appropriate access to psychological therapy for clients and their families/carers.

To facilitate and deliver training, reflective practice and MDT input across different teams both internally to Southern Health, as well as externally to other Trusts, Third Sector organisations, Social Care and Voluntary sector services etc.

To provide highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy, as well as offering advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers.

To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.

To supervise and line manage members of the team including trainee and qualified staff.

Engaging in CPD and professional development opportunities to further grow and develop competencies and skills as a Psychologist.
