Applications are invited for a full time Band 8b Clinical Psychologist/Psychologist. We will consider applicants who are looking for potential preceptorship to Band 8b. This is a leadership post and you will be an integral part of psychology leadership team working closely with the Consultant Lead Psychologist to develop a seamless service for service users across the care pathways. You will be responsible for leading and managing the community psychology services within both Andover and Winchester CMHTs and enabling seamless care for those who access services through the Primary Care Networks (PCN's).

Main duties of the job

The post holder will join psychologically minded multidisciplinary teams to support the recovery of adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. As a psychology team, we are committed to working with and supporting the wider team to develop and implement their psychological skills, whilst supporting our own growth and development through regular supervision & training. We are dedicated to deliver evidence-based interventions as well as contributing to the development and implementation of innovative interventions.

Essential

  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology.
  • Formal training in supervision of other psychologists or equivalent experience.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist Post-doctoral training in a specialised area of psychological therapy.
  • Management training
  • Accreditation as a therapist with BABCP, SfDBT, ACAT or similar body. Assessed by application form and certificates.
