CT/MRI Senior Radiographer

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

Due to exciting changes within the trust over the last 18 months we are looking for an experienced CT/MRI Senior Radiographer to join our hard-working, dynamic team.

The Radiology department has replaced many of its modalities and dramatically increased in size, allowing us to take on exciting and new opportunities.

We are a forward thinking department and carry out a wide range of MRI and CT examinations, including all routine scans and some specialised MRI techniques. We are busy and well equipped! Based at Lymington New Forest Hospital (LNFH) with satellite services for US and Xray at Hythe and Romsey. The department is equipped with a Canon Genesis CT scanner and has a new Siemens Altea 1.5T MRI scanner.

Main duties of the job

We currently operate an extended day service across 7 days a week, so the successful candidate would need to be able to take part in a rota which will include working weekdays and weekends. There is currently no on-call requirement for cross sectional imaging.

LNFH is a busy, community hospital with an Urgent Treatment Centre, situated just outside the attractive Hampshire town of Lymington, situated on the south coast - well known for its sailing facilities and the New Forest National Park. It is in close proximity to both Southampton and Bournemouth with good road, rail and air links. We work closely with the acute Trusts of Winchester, Southampton and Bournemouth.

There is free on-site hospital parking for staff. The department is located on the ground floor with windows overlooking the forest wildlife. The department has a comfortable, bright staff room and has the option of outdoor seating during the summer months.

For further information and to arrange an informal visit to our friendly, spacious, light, ground floor scanning unit with large windows overlooking the local forest and wildlife. Please contact Nicole Hofmann or Karen Kritter.
